It is important for people to be united in their common beliefs about certain things. The Bahá’í faith believes that all people should live in peace and unity with one another. It is possible for people to have unity when they have common goals and beliefs.

Origin

Prophet Bahá’u’lláh and lasted until his death. The main purpose of the Bahá’í faith is to encourage all people to follow the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh. The Bahá’í religion teaches people to love and respect each other. The Bahá’ís believe that unity and cooperation among the people are essential. All people should learn to help each other and care about each other. The Bahá’í faith was founded by the Prophet Muhammad’s son, Baha'u'llah.

Teachings

of Bahá'u'lláh

Baha’u’llah was born in 1817 in Iran. He spent most of his life in the Ottoman Empire. He died in 1892.Baha’u’llah taught that there is only one God. His teachings also include unity and the equality of all religions. He taught people to love and respect each other. All people should learn to help each other and care about each other. He taught that all people will receive eternal reward for the good deeds they perform. Baha’u’llah also believed that all great religions share a divine source. He believed that humanity can achieve salvation and prosperity if it unites.

History of the Bahá’í Faith

The first Bahá'ís came from the Zoroastrian, Jewish and Christian communities. After his death, the prophet of the Bahá'í Faith, Bahá'u'lláh was succeeded by Shoghi Effendi, the head of the religion. During World War I, the majority of the Bahá'ís in Persia were exiled by the Qajar dynasty. Some were sent to Egypt, others to India, while some were sent to other countries such as America, Canada, France, Germany and Turkey. The persecution against Bahá'ís stopped in the early 1920s, after the Pahlavi dynasty took power. Many Bahá'ís had been imprisoned in the prisons in Tehran and other cities.

is an international organization of people dedicated to the promotion of the Bahá'í Faith. They strive to serve humanity. They strive to provide people with a better understanding of the Bahá'í Faith. They support people in building better relations between different religious groups and between people of different races and ethnic backgrounds.They are involved in helping women who have been trafficked, women who are victims of violence, and children who are abused. They strive to help people achieve greater equality and justice. They support the right of children to be educated. They also strive to promote better relations among people. They aim to promote peace. They believe that every person has the right to live in a society free from all forms of violence and oppression.

Bahá’í Faith in Canada

is growing in every region of the country. There are many Canadians who have embraced the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith. More than 50% of Canada's population belongs to other religious groups. These include Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Aboriginal, and Buddhist. It is therefore understandable that many of them are attracted to the Bahá’í Faith. Canada is a diverse country. Many Canadians have come from other parts of the world. They bring different cultural values to Canada. This creates problems. One of the main problems is that they have little contact with Canadian culture. The Bahá’í Faith promotes tolerance, mutual respect, and love. It is a religion of peace.

What was the Babi movement?

It was a time of great religious turmoil in Iran. Many of the leaders were against the Shah of Iran. They said that he was corrupt. He tried to control people through his army and his secret police. They were unhappy with him. The people wanted democracy. There were many protests in Iran. The Shah’s army used violence to suppress the people. Some of the protesters died in the streets. This led to the emergence of a group called the Babi Movement. The Babi Movement was formed in 1844 in the city of Shiraz. A young Iranian man named Sayyid ‘Ali Muhammad (1819–1850) began to preach that he was the Mahdi, the Messiah.

The spread and development of the Baha’i Faith

began with ‘Abdu’l-Baha. He had been elected by the Universal House of Justice as the Guardian of the Baha’i Faith. However, during his lifetime, he became too weak to carry out his duties. In order to ensure that the Baha’i Faith would continue to exist, his eldest son, ‘Abbas Effendi, was elected as the Guardian. As the Guardian, he took care of the affairs of the Baha’i Faith. In 1863, he started a period of great activity. He travelled across the country preaching the teachings of Baha’u’llah.

What do Baha’is believe?

We know that the Baha’i Faith has its roots in Islam. It believes in God the Father (Allah), God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit (the Holy Spirit). It believes that there is no God except Allah and that he created everything. Baha’u’llah claims to be the Manifestation of God. He says that he is the only true Prophet sent by God to mankind. His mission is to introduce a new religion that is based on love, truth, unity and harmony. According to him, this religion is one of the religions that God is going to reveal. The Baha’i Faith accepts all other prophets of God.

What are the Manifestations of God?

There is only one God and this is known as Allah. He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He created all of the people and animals. He created the universe and made it so that there was no chaos or disorder. He is the creator and protector of all living things. The Baha’i Faith believes that there is only one God and that he has a Manifestation. It believes that there are three different types of Manifestations. One of the Manifestations is called Baha’u’llah. He is the first and the greatest Manifestation of God. Baha’u’llah is the son of Bibi ‘Ayesha and Mirza Husain.

Is the Baha’i Faith spiritual or rational?

There are many different religions on the planet today. However, none of them claim that they are the only religion or the true religion. That is why we are taught to look beyond these religions and to believe in the existence of a single God. The Baha’i Faith believes in the existence of one God. We know that there is only one God because of the divine revelation. We also know that God is the Creator and protector of all living creatures. He is the Father of all human beings. We know that the Baha’i Faith is a religion that teaches us to recognise God and to follow his teachings as revealed through his messengers.

How do Baha’is worship God?

The Baha'i Faith teaches us to pray. We should not forget that God is the creator of all things. He is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and he has created us. We should therefore turn to Him and seek His help. We should also remember that He is our Father and we are His children. We should therefore ask Him to forgive us our sins and to guide us. We should do this through prayer. We should ask for guidance from God and we should learn to read the Holy Scriptures. We should not forget that the purpose of the Holy Scriptures is to help us to realise God. God has given us the scriptures. He has spoken to us through His prophets.

The Baha’i world view

teaches us to be kind and to love each other. We should try to help one another. We should think about the best way to do this. We should try to follow God’s teachings and the wishes of our prophets. We should listen to our conscience. We should also try to learn from our mistakes and to keep improving ourselves. We should be nice to everybody. We should try to be helpful. We should remember that we are all different. We should learn to respect one another. We should avoid arguing with other people. We should treat everyone the same way. We should try to behave in the same way towards everyone. We should try to avoid doing anything that might offend someone else.
